IT Ukraine Association Welcomes Its First Ambassadors!

The first ambassadors of IT Ukraine are ready to represent the interests of the Ukrainian IT industry on the international stage. Their mission is to create new partnership opportunities for the development of the IT industry in key markets.

As part of the pilot project, the ambassadors will begin extensive representation of the IT Ukraine Association in the USA, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland and Japan.

We are pleased to introduce our first ambassadors:

In the UK Market, the Association will be represented by Aleksandra Govorukha, Head of International Corporate Affairs at Sigma Software Group. Aleksandra has strong expertise in public and media relations, corporate communications and reputation building. As an ambassador of the Association, Aleksandra will focus on promoting Ukrainian technology services and products in the UK and developing international partnerships of the IT Association of Ukraine.

Additionally, Roman Zomko, Co-founder and CEO of Impressit, will also represent the Association and the Ukrainian IT industry in the UK. Roman is a recognised expert with extensive of experience in successful collaboration with global brands and businesses such as Shell and G.Network. As an ambassador of the IT Ukraine Association, Roman will leverage his expertise in digital business transformation, fostering cooperation with Ukrainian companies and launching new products onto the global market.

In the US Market, the Association will be represented by Dmytro Ovcharenko, Founder and CEO of Alcor. Dmytro has a solid track record of creating and supporting software R&D centres in Europe and Latin America for American product IT companies. As an ambassador of the IT Ukraine Association, Dmytro will focus on establishing Ukraine’s reputation as a strategic location for building developer teams and collaborating with investors. His broad expertise in global IT market trends and project development will also support the Association’s partnerships with international organisations.

The ambassador team in the US will also include Nazar Hulyk, Founder and CEO of Empat.
Nazar is a recognised leader in the IT field with over 20 years of experience. He is a member of the Forbes Business Council and Community Leader for Techstars in San Francisco where he promotes innovation by organising hackathons for young startups. Nazar’s focus will be on building high-performance technical teams, scaling operations while maintaining strong company culture and developing startups and strategic leadership in a rapidly changing environment.

In the Swiss IT Market, the Association will be represented by Igor Basanskyi, Business Development Manager and Ukraine Rebuild Lead at Itera. Igor is a business leader combining experience in contract management and business development for projects that are transforming Ukraine. He leads key projects for Ukraine’s reconstruction, using his consulting and sales expertise to support infrastructure and energy solutions. Igor’s role will be crucial not only for establishing international partnerships for the Association but also for advancing the development of the IT industry as a whole.

In the Portuguese Market, the Association will be represented by Marta Romaniak, Vice President of Brand Development at the international company Avenga. Marta has been working in the IT industry for over 15 years and has been actively involved in building and promoting the reputation of the Ukrainian IT industry. She was listed in the Top 25 Women in IT by Forbes Ukraine. As an ambassador of the Association, Marta will focus on developing international relations, promoting the Ukrainian tech ecosystem in Portugal, as well as advancing education, fostering business-government cooperation and supporting women’s leadership in IT.

In the Japanese Market, the Association will be represented by Olesia Kyrylchuk, Senior Director of People Management (East Asia & Pacific Region) at EPAM. Olesia is an advocate for women’s leadership and Co-Chair of the Women in Business Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. She is also involved in charity projects supporting the neurorehabilitation of soldiers. As an ambassador of the IT Ukraine Association, she will focus on strengthening international relations and enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian IT companies in the region. Her priorities include people management, understanding business nuances in Asian countries and fostering collaboration with Ukrainian companies.

The ambassadors will not only support existing partnerships of IT Ukraine with international stakeholders but will also actively develop new connections with government and non-governmental organisations, as well as businesses around the world. They will contribute to organising joint events with international partners and participate in their implementation together with the IT Ukraine Association’s International Cooperation Department.
